4th June 2012 - Queen's Diamond Jubilee at Manningford

As part of the Diamond Jubilee Manningford Trout Fishery celebrated by hosting a BBQ and general fun day for the family. Fishermen and their families traveled from far and wide to spend the day with us fishing, casting and enjoying the culinary delights of Master Chef - Adam Sinclair. This included an amazing BBQ of locally sourced hamburgers, sausages and fresh salad followed by a traditional "cream tea", which was if I may say fit for a Queen.

The tagged fish (Union Jack) was introduced into the lake early Monday morning and was later spotted swimming along the right hand bank but could not and did not get caught throughout the duration of the day. However a successful raffle was held and the £50 Manningford Trout Fishery gift voucher was won by Mr Roger Greest. Well done Roger, your Charles Jardine line you ordered is on it's way.

Which brings me to my next point, we ordered a total 7 of Charle's new fly-lines from Wychwood and have one remaining, a #5 presentation line, so if anyone is interested in purchasing please give us a call. They are truly great fly lines and Charles has done an amazing job in developing these. At £30 they are a steal and we are in the process of getting more in, we have a couple of demo lines so come on in and try before you buy.
